Pros and Cons of Communicating Online
The main forms of communicating online include email, IM, Chat rooms, and Blogs. These forms of communication online have multiple pros and cons. Email is the most popular forms of online communication. Millions of E mails are sent each day. It makes it possible for a person to send letters instantly to people around the world. Without it todays society and businesses would not be able to survive. There seems to be only one con to email. It is the fact that it seems to be sufficiently destroying the process of hand writing a letter. IM or instant messageing is also a very poplualr form of online communication. Unlike email, a person will send messages to another person and then instantly that person will recive a message back. This is a facter means of communication however, it seems to be less professional than email. E mail seems to be used more for writing letters while IM seems to be used more for recreational activities. People using IM must also watch out for online predators that could try to negitiavley affect a persons life. Chatrooms are also similar to IM. They allow people to instantly chat with each other around the world. Because the two froms of online communication, they also very similar pros and cons. Like IM chat rooms allow perople to chat with each other instanlty as long as a computer is availble. Like IM poeple using chat rooms must also be on the look out for online predators. Bloging is the final form of online communication. They allow people to post comments on certain topics like I am doing now. They allow people to post there opinion on a subject no matter it is or no matter what people think of said opinion. There are not many cons to blogging except for the fact that a person may accidently give out there personal information that may infringe on there privacy. Online communication is crucial to todays society. There are obviously many pros and cons to online communication. If used correctly they could be very benificial to a person.

I agree with the con of e-mail. The act of handwritting letters has gone down increasingly since e-mail became popular. I also like your points on the other forms of communicating.
thank you
anytime :)
I agree with all of your points and think that they are very well thought out. Good job!
