There are multiple pros and cons to each of these forms of communication. E-mail is very good if you want to send a single message to a whole bunch of people in one send. For example, if you are having a party with 50 people and you have tell them to come a half hour late, you can email all those people in one message. . Email is also great because you can customize the colors and fonts of your messages. A con to email is that it is not an instant from of communication because people aren't on their email constantly and it is usually in the form of sentences. Another one is that people's user names are usually their first name and last initial so people can look up that person and bother them with spam. Another one is that you may get spam messages. Chat rooms and IMing are very similar and have similar pros and cons. The pros with them is that messages send in milliseconds and you can have a conversation with more than one person. This is very good if a group of people want to get together and need to all talk to each other at once to make plans quickly. Chatrooms and IM can be bad because you may be talking to someone you don't think your talking to, such as a 40 year old guy. They could be potentially dangerous and if they start asking you personal questions you should just ignore them. Blogs can be good because they are like an online diary. You can leave a post and have people comment on those posts. However, they are bad because a potential dangerous person may look at your blog and get all your information. And nobody wants somebody stalking them. When leaving a blog you should not give personal information.
